New interim UFC heavyweight champion Cyril Gane revealed how much the promotion paid him for his victory at UFC 265 over Derrick Lewis.
Gane spoke with the French media outlet L'Equipe and shared that he was paid $350,000 for his victory earlier this month in Houston, Texas. After taxes and paying his coaching staff, the Frenchman claims he took home approximately $160,000 for the outing against Lewis (h/t MMA Junkie for the conversion). Gane was paid an additional $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus and another $32,000 as part of the UFC's Promotional Guidelines Compliance program. This also doesn't include any possible pay-per-view points Gane might've received from the promotion.
