A bantamweight division encounter is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night Hamburg card as Damian Stasiak is going to be in action against Pingyuan Liu.
Stasiak (10-5-0) enters the contest in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Pedro Munhoz and Brian Kelleher. Stasiak hasn’t earned a victory in almost two years, with that last win coming over Davey Grant at UFC 204. Stasiak has also seen four of his five fights in the UFC make it to the third round, with the fighter holding a 1-3-0 record on those encounters.
Liu (11-5-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a seven bout winning streak. Liu hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over five years, with that last loss coming to Meixuan Zhang at RUFF 8. Liu actually started of his professional MMA career on a four fight losing streak, it took the competitor almost two years to earn a pro MMA victory.
UFC Fight Night Hamburg takes place on Sunday, July 22 from the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany with Volkan Oezdemir and Mauricio Rua headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
