Dana White Hints That CM Punk’s UFC Run May Be Over, Punk Comments On Fight

Former pro wrestler turned professional MMA fighter CM Punk suffered a unanimous decision loss to Mike Jackson at UFC 225.

UFC President Dana White was in attendance at the event and he says Punk’s time in the promotion may be coming to an end.

“No, it should be a wrap,” White said at the UFC 225 post-fight press conference. “The guy’s 39 years old. We gave him two shots, and he had a lot of heart tonight, and I think he should call it a wrap.”

Punk is now 0-2-0 as a professional fighter, with his other loss coming via first round submission to Mickey Gall at UFC 203.

Just because Punk’s time in the UFC may be coming to a close doesn’t mean his professional MMA career has to because the fighter would be free to negotiate with any promotion of the Chicago native’s choosing.

The win that Punk is referring to in the Twitter post what that he and Colt Cabana were found not guilty in a defamation lawsuit brought against them by Dr. Chris Amann.
