MMA fans will have to wait a little while longer for UFC action after UFC 249 was canceled and future events have been postponed after UFC President Dana White was asked to stand down by Disney and ESPN.

There was a twelve fight card announced by the promotion, with former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson and former WSOF Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje battling for the vacant UFC Interim Lightweight Title in the main event.

White has revealed that besides the fighters, interviewer Laura Sanko, color commentator Joe Rogan and ring card girl Brittney Palmer were going to work the event as well.

“Joe Rogan was absolutely working the event this Saturday. Thank you to Joe Rogan. And Laura Sanko was showing up and she was gonna do all the behind-the-scenes stuff. Everybody was all-in on this thing,” White said (via Anton Tabuena of Bloody Elbow). “Brittney Palmer was going to be the ring card girl this Saturday. Thank you Brittney!”

The UFC is currently in the process of building the “Fight Island” and it is possible that all three personalities mentioned by White could be working the “Fight Island” events as well.
