A middleweight division attraction will headline the Bellator Europe 8 card as Fabian Edwards is in action against Costello Van Steenis.
The promotion recently announced the main event encounter through Twitter.
Edwards (9-0-0) has already picked up five wins under the Bellator banner with those wins coming over Lee Chadwick, Falco Neto Lopes, Jonathan Bosuku, Rafal Cejrowski and Mike Shipman. Edwards has competed a total of nine times as a professional MMA fighter and just three of those bouts went the distance. Edwards is also going to be headlining his first Bellator card, despite having been signed to the promotion for almost two years.
Van Steenis (12-2-0) has won four of five in Bellator competition with those wins coming over Steve Skrzat, Kevin Fryer, Chris Honeycutt and the aforementioned Shipman. Van Steenis hasn’t picked up a victory in well over a year with that last win coming at Bellator 223 in June of 2019. Van Steenis has competed 14 times as a professional MMA fighter and just four of those bouts went to the judges scorecards.
Two other bouts were revealed for the card as well, as Kent Kaupinen faces Will Fleury and Pietro Penini faces Mike Shipman.
Bellator Europe 8 takes place on Saturday, September 26 from the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy with Fabian Edwards and Costello Van Steenis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Youtube.
