- According to ESPN’s Dan Rafael, here are the official purse amounts for all six fighters on the televised portion of the September 8 HBO boxing card titled “SuperFly 3:”

  • Juan Francisco Estrada: $150,000
  • Felipe Orucuta: $25,000
  • Donnie Nietes: $50,000
  • Aston Palicte: $20,000
  • Kazuto Ioka: $25,000
  • McWilliams Arroyo: $50,000

- Jono Carroll, who is the IBF’s Intercontinental super featherweight champion and No. 5 in the governing body’s rankings at 130 pounds, has signed a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.

- Top Rank Boxing has made several signings recently, including former super bantamweight champion Jonathan Guzman. The other signings for the company are undefeated middleweight prospect Tyler Howard, 29-fight veteran Michael Perez and 2016 USA Boxing Youth Championships gold medalist Eric Puente, who has yet to make his pro debut.

- Former world champion Brandon Rios is rumored to fight Sam Eggington on the September 22 boxing card from Wembley Stadium headlined by Anthony Joshua vs. Alexander Povetkin. Rios has not fought since being knocked out by Danny Garcia back in February.

- Curtis Woodhouse, who has held the British and English junior welterweight champion, has officially announced his retirement via Twitter, this time being a permanent one. Woodhouse last fought in November 2017, where he got a points win over Lewis van Poetsch. 

- On a boxing card in Russia on September 7, WBA cruiserweight “champion in recess” Denis Lebedev knocked out Hizni Altunkaya in the third round and Zaur Abdullaev defeated former title challenger Hank Lundy by unanimous decision to retain the WBC Silver lightweight title.
