UFC 211 is getting stacked in a hurry, as former UFC Lightweight Champion Eddie Alvarez has agreed to fight on the card. Fightful.com has confirmed an earlier report from ESPN's Brett Okamoto.

The #3-ranked Alvarez (28-5) will look to bounce back from his November UFC 205 title loss to Conor McGregor, as he's planned to take on #10 Dustin Poirier (21-5). The two have verbally agreed to the fight, and it is currently pending.

Though both men have lost to McGregor, Poirier has rebounded by winning five of his last six fights. He competed just last month at UFC 208, where he earned a majority decision victory over Jim Miller.

The addition is just the latest big-name fight on a show that already features Stipe Miocic, Junior dos Santos, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Jessica Andrade, Demian Maia and Jorge Masvidal.

UFC 211 takes place May 13 from the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Fightful.com will have full live coverage and discussion for the event, as well as preview and post-show podcasts.
