Four fights have been announced for UFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale during the UFC Fight Night Prague broadcast as #15 Andrei Arlovski faces Augusto Sakai, Jessica Penne faces Jodie Esquibel, Court McGee faces Dhiego Lima and Jim Miller faces Jason Gonzalez.
Arlovski (27-18-0-1NC) enters the contest while in the midst of a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a victory in almost a year. Sakai (12-1-1) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Chase Sherman at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo.
Penne (12-5-0) was originally supposed to battle Esquibel at UFC Fight Night Phoenix, but pulled out of the bout due to injury. Esquibel (6-4-0) enters the contest while riding a two fight losing streak and she hasn’t earned a victory in almost two years.
McGee (19-7-0) has won just one of his last three and was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 11 reality show. Lima (13-7-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner and is currently in the midst of a second run with the UFC.
Miller (29-13-0-1NC) has won just one of his last six in UFC competition, with that lone win coming over Alex White at UFC 228. Gonzalez (11-4-0) has won just one of three bouts during his UFC tenure and that lone victory came over JC Cottrell at UFC On Fox 23.
UFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale takes place on Saturday, April 27 from the BB&T Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
