A lightweight division clash is a late addition to next week’s Bellator 168 card as Goiti Yamauchi is taking on Valeriu Mircea.
Yamauchi (20-3-0) has won four of his last five in Bellator MMA competition, defeating Mike Richman, Martin Stapleton, Isao Kobayashi and Ryan Couture, while suffering a defeat to Bubba Jenkins. Yamauchi has scored on a single KO/TKO victory during his eight fight run in Bellator MMA, that came over Saul Almeida at Bellator 109 in November 2013. Yamauchi also had an amazing run as an amateur MMA fighter, going undefeated in seven amateur fights and all the wins were first round finishes.
Mircea (12-3-0) will be making his Bellator MMA debut in this fight and he will be doing so while riding a three fight winning streak. Mircea has also competed against one UFC veteran during his nearly two year MMA career, which was a loss to Cody McKenzie at Venator FC 3 Mircea has already competed fifteen times in his less than two year MMA career, his longest break in between fights was three months, his short break in between fights was one month.
Bellator 168 takes place on Saturday, December 10 from the Mandela Forum in Florence, Italy with Rafael Carvalho and Melvin Manhoef headlining.
