Jake Hager recalls Baron von Raschke being backstage at AEW Full Gear.
Baron von Raschke is from a time in professional wrestling where kayfabe was protected at all costs. The master of the Iron Claw made an appearance at AEW Full Gear 2021 and even put the dreaded hold on Ethan Page.
Now, Jake Hager, on AEW Unrestricted, is talking about how, all these years later, The Baron is still protecting the business and keeping its secrets close to the chest as he did not reveal openly how to take the Iron Claw when going over the spot that would take place during the Minnesota Street Fight between American Top Team and the Inner Circle, making sure that his daughter, who attended the event with him, still didn't know how the magic worked.
"It was cool backstage when we were setting it up and we first got to meet Baron and he's there with his daughter and Chris was like, 'Hey, do you think it's okay, if the situation provides itself, you do the claw.' He kind of looked back at his daughter and whispered into Ethan's ear how to do the claw. I thought it was so awesome that he was still keeping it a secret from his daughter after all these years. Pro wrestling is that magic."
