A welterweight division attraction has been added to this months Bellator 201 card as Joey Davis is going to be in action against Craig Plaskett.
Davis (3-0-0) has spent his entire professional MMA career competing in Bellator MMA and only one of the three fights went the distance. Davis is also going to be competing for the second time this year, which is the first time the fighter has competed twice in a calender year. Davis has also earned two victories by way of KO/TKO, with those wins coming over the duo of Justin Roswell and Ian Butler.
Plaskett (2-2-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Plaskett does enter the contest on the aforementioned two fight winning streak, with those victories coming over Jumoke Hunter and Rafael Venancio Justino. Plaskett only won two of six as an amateur MMA fighter and lost four straight bouts before turning pro in April of 2016.
Bellator 201 takes place on Friday, June 29 from the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California with Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Alejandra Lara headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
