Friday's ONE Championship bantamweight title fight between champion, Bibiano Fernandes, and John Lineker has been called off due to Lineker testing positive for COVID ahead of the bout.
MMA Fighting's Guilherme Cruz was the first to report the news of Lineker's positive test and the fight being canceled. The matchup was expected to headline the promotion's ONE Championship: Bad Blood event from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore this Friday. Fernandes is 3-1 in his last four outings and is coming off of a second-round submission victory over Kevin Belingon in their trilogy bout back in October 2019. Lineker meanwhile has gone 3-0 in his three promotional appearances since joining ONE after leaving the UFC back in July 2019. He's coming off of a first-round KO victory over Troy Worthen at ONE on TNT 3 last April.
