Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano Superfight Set For April

Undisputed lightweight champion and 2012 Olympic gold medalist, Katie Taylor, will finally face seven-division world champ Amanda Serrano on April 30 from the Madison Square Garden arena in New York.

Both of the pair's promoters, Matchroom Boxing Chairman Eddie Hearn, and Most Valuable Promotions Jake Paul officially announced the matchup via a series of tweets posted to their respective Twitter accounts. Taylor is undefeated as a pro at 20-0 currently and is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Firuza Sharipova back in December. Serrano meanwhile is 42-1 as a pro and hasn't lost a boxing bout since April 2012. She will look to build on a unanimous decision win over Miriam Gutiérrez in December in her latest outing. This will also be the first time in the history of the iconic New York City arena that the venue will host a boxing card headlined by two women.
