Kevin Lee vs. Diego Sanchez Scheduled For Eagle FC Event In March

Former UFC veteran Kevin Lee is expected to make his Eagle FC debut at a yet-to-be-announced event on March 11 against The Ultimate Fighter season one winner Diego Sanchez in a 165-pound bout.

Lee announced the matchup himself via a now-deleted Instagram post, with Sanchez also confirming the matchup via a tweet of his own, but the promotion has yet to officially announce anything regarding the matchup. The 29-year old Grand Rapids, Michigan native signed with Khabib Nurmagomedov's new promotion earlier this month, after being released by the UFC in late November. He's 1-4 in his last five fights and is coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Daniel Rodriguez at UFC Vegas 35 in what was his final Octagon appearance. Sanchez meanwhile was also released by the UFC back in May, after multiple issues with his former coach Joshua Fabia, and recently dealt with a case of the COVID-19 virus that hospitalized him for a month or so. He's 3-2 in his last five outings and was defeated by Jake Matthews via a unanimous decision at UFC 253 back in September 2020 in his last fight.
