King Mo is one of the fighters who still competes in Bellator MMA and was around when Bjorn Rebney was running the promotion. He doesn't have fond memories of his fomer boss.
Rebney is now a part of the newly launched Mixed Martial Arts Athletes Association, something King Mo doesn't seem to be a fan of.
Mo released a statement of his own via Instagram, detailing his feelings about both Rebney and the MMAAA.
"He is finessin them. If fighters wanna do a union....they need to get with a former pro fighter or get with someone that has nuthin to gain. With Unions.....everybody involved pays dues to be part of it. Like I said....people see sumthin and get finessed with the quickness. Bjorn putting 2gether an MMA fighters union would be like Don King putting 2gether a boxer union... imagine if fighters needed bank accounts.....then Don King came and said I will open up bank accounts for all fighters. I will help u and lead the way.....would u do it???? Ask Tyson, Holmes, Orlen Norris, Trinidad, and Mayorga for their advice after they dealt with Don King. This is a similar situation. there is a reason why [Bjorn] got ran out of boxing and mma... Its not about me and him not gettin along. Its about his crookedness.... Rob Maysey and the MMAFA been workin on a Union for fighters since 2011. Its positive.....tell me how?? U want positive....get Randy Couture to lead it. He went to war with the ufc."
King Mo is competing next at Bellator 169 against Satoshi Ishii, which takes place on Friday, December 16.
