A 180 pound catchweight division affair will headline the upcoming Bellator 193 card as UFC veteran Lorenz Larkin takes on Fernando Gonzalez.
Larkin (18-7-0-1NC) is currently winless in Bellator MMA competition, dropping fights to both Douglas Lima and Paul Daley. Larkin has previously challenged for the Bellator MMA Welterweight Title, losing to the aforementioned Lima by unanimous decision at Bellator 180. Larkin hasn’t earned a victory in well over a year, which came over Neil Magny by first round TKO at UFC 202.
Gonzalez (27-14-0) enters the bout on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Brennan Ward and Brandon Girtz. Gonzalez has only suffered a single defeat thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, which came to Michael Page by decision at Bellator 165. Gonzalez has previously challenged for the West Coast Fighting Championship, Respect In The Cage and King Of the Cage Welterweight Titles, coming up short in each of those bouts.
