Frank Mir Has Not Signed With BKFC, Says Manager

It appeared that another former UFC fighter in Frank Mir was about to make his way to the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) promotion, but that may not be the case.

A report surfaced two days ago from Fight Bananas saying former UFC heavyweight champion was heading to BKFC, but Mir’s agent in Malki Kawa says the report isn’t true.

Mir has only won just one of his last five professional MMA fights with that victory coming over Roy Nelson via unanimous decision in the main event of Bellator 231. Mir has not been very active in the cage as of late. His  win over Nelson, which was his last professional MMA fight, came in October of 2019. The Bellator star won the UFC heavyweight title at UFC 48 in June of 2004, defeating Tim Sylvia by first-round submission.
