Top UFC strawweight contenders Marina Rodriguez and Yan Xiaonan are scheduled for a bout at UFC 272 on March 5.
Xiaonan's management team, Paradigm Sports, revealed the fight via a tweet but the promotion has yet to officially confirm anything regarding the matchup. Rodriguez is currently on a three-fight winning streak and is coming off of a unanimous decision win over Mackenzie Dern back at UFC Vegas 39. Xiaonan on the other hand is 6-1 in her seven Octagon appearances and will try to bounce back from a second-round TKO loss to former UFC strawweight champion, Carla Esparza, back at UFC Vegas 27.
