Mark Hunt is currently in the process of suing the UFC, Brock Lesnar and Dana White for racketeering, fraud, conspiracy, battery among other accusations.
Now that current WWE Universal Champion and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar has returned to the UFC, it is possible that Hunt’s lawyer in Christina Denning may amend the lawsuit the fighter has filed.
“We debated whether or not to, while the motion to dismiss is pending, to alter the complaint again, to keep adding more facts regarding the way that the organization works and perhaps the unfairness of it,” Denning said to MMA Fighting. “So, that’s something that we have not done yet, but we definitely [might] with all the buzz around [Lesnar] coming back.”
Hunt decided to sue the UFC shortly after it was revealed that Lesnar had failed a pair of drug tests in line with UFC 200, which initially saw Lesnar beat Hunt by decision before the failed tests resulted in the bout being overturned to a no contest.
Denning is expecting the judge handling the cas eto give an order soon to declare what evidence is going to be in and out.
“I kind of have a feeling that the judge has heard enough of our arguments and the complaint hasn’t changed a whole lot,” Denning said. “So, there might be just an order that comes out some day soon that tells us what’s in and what’s out.”
While Denning has commented on the possible changes to the lawsuit, no comment has been issued by Hunt at this time.
