Michel Pereira Trained With Farm Animals Ahead Of UFC Vegas 9

Michel Pereira and Zelim Imadaev will meet in a welterweight division clash tomorrow night at UFC Vegas 9.

Every fighter has their own training methods ahead of their fights, but Pereira’s method bakes the cake, as he trained with various farm animals ahead of UFC Vegas 9.

"I train new things every time," Pereira said at the UFC Vegas 9 media day (via Nick Baldwin of The Score). "I try to get to know different strategies and different games. For this event in particular, I trained at a farm with animals. So I was running around with animals. I always try to train in different places and get to know different things, so every time I step in the Octagon, I can bring something new and put on a show."

Pereira is in a must win situation on Saturday Night, as the fighter is riding a two-fight winning streak and is in the final fight of his contract. The UFC star said some of the farm animals he trained with include horses and cows.

"I trained with cows and working on taking them down and running with horses," he said. "I had different experiences with different animals and just tried to work on different strategies."

UFC Vegas 9 is set for Saturday, September 5 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Alistair Overeem and Augusto Sakai headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
