The UFC Bantamweight Division is one of the deepest divisions in the UFC right now, with each fighter doing what they can to claw their way to the top.
Two of those fighters trying to make their way to the top are Mitch Gagnon and Brett Johns-- both have no fights scheduled at this time.
However, the fighters took things into their own hands to get a fight made with each other, beginning with Gagnon making the challenge for UFC Fight Night 113 via Twitter:
@36Johns vs @MitchGagnonUFC, Scottish city July 16th make it happen @seanshelby!!!!
— Mitch Gagnon (@MitchGagnonUFC) May 1, 2017
Upon receiving the challenge, the Welsh fighter in Johns was quick to accept on Twitter:
Let's do it @MitchGagnonUFC https://t.co/g8dCtrJpb4
— Brett Johns (@36Johns) May 1, 2017
Despite both fighters agreeing to meet in the Octagon, the UFC has yet to make things official or even comment on the challenge.
UFC Fight Night 113 takes place on Sunday, July 16 from the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
