Report: Alejandro Perez Faces Thomas Almeida At UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen

A bantamweight battle has been added to UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen as Alejandro Perez faces Thomas Almeida.

Perez (21-8-1) enters the contest riding a two-fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Cody Stamann and Song Yadong. Perez is competing for the first time in over a year, as his last bout happened at UFC 239 in July of 2019. Perez hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years, with that last win coming against Eddie Wineland at UFC Fight Night Boise in July of 2018.

Almeida (21-3-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Albert Morales at UFC Fight Night 100. Almeida is competing for the first time in almost three years, with his last fight occurring in January of 2018. Almeida has picked up 17 of 21 wins by way of KO/TKO, with another three coming by way of submission.

UFC Fight Night: Moraes vs. Sandhagen takes place on Saturday, October 10. Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event.
