The forthcoming UFC Fight Night Lincoln card has taken a huge hit according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as Alexa Grasso has been forced off the card due to injuries, as she was supposed to fight Angela Hill at the event.
UFC officials are seeking a replacement fighter to battle Hill, who is expected to remain on the card at this time. There is no word yet on the severity of the injury suffered by Grasso or how long she is expected to be out of action for.
Hill (8-4-0) has won two of four in her second run with the UFC, with those victories coming over the duo of Ashley Yoder and Maryna Moroz. Hill is also a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion, defeating Livia Renata Souza by unanimous decision at Invicta FC 17 to claim the gold. Hill also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Carla Esparza.
UFC Fight Night Lincoln takes place on Saturday, August 25 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska with Justin Gaethje and James Vick headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
