Report: Ariane Lipski Replaces Veronica Macedo At UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires

Veronica Macedo has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires according to Combate, replacing her against Maryna Moroz is going to be Ariane Lipski.

Moroz (8-3-0) is going to be making her UFC Women’s Flyweight Division debut in this bout, having previously competed as a strawweight in the promotion. Moroz held a record of 3-3-0 thus far in the UFC, with those victories coming over Joanne Calderwood, Cristina Stanciu and Danielle Taylor. Moroz has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them have come by way of decision.

Lipski (11-3-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a nine fight winning streak. Lipski is a former KSW MMA Women’s Flyweight Champion, defeating Diana Belbita at KSW 39 to claim the gold. Lipski has defeated one UFC veteran prior to signing with the promotion and that win came over Sheila Gaff at KSW 36.

UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires takes place on Saturday, November 17 from Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina with Neil Magny and Santiago Ponzinibbio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
