Report: Arnold Allen Battles Mads Burnell At UFC Fight Night Liverpool

A pair of featherweight division competitors are set to clash at UFC Fight Night Liverpool according to MMA NYTT as Arnold Allen is going to be fighting Mads Burnell.

Allen (12-1-0) has already earned three wins under the UFC banner, defeating the trio of Alan Omer, Yaotzin Meza and Makwan Amirkhani. Allen hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost four years, with his lone professional MMA defeat coming to Marcin Wrzosek at Cage Warriors 69. Allen has seen all three of his UFC bouts go into the third round, with two of those bouts going the distance.

Burnell (9-2-0) is looking to build off of the momentum of his first UFC win, which came over Mike Santiago at UFC Fight Night St. Louis. Burnell has seen four of his eleven professional MMA bouts go the distance and the fighter has won all of those encounters. Burnell also competed twice in the European MMA promotion, defeating the duo of Aleksander Sredanovic and Ali Selcuk Ayin.

UFC Fight Night Liverpool takes place on Sunday, May 26 from the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England with Stephen Thompson and Darren Till headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
