Report: Casey Kenney Faces Nathaniel Wood At UFC 254

A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC 254 as Casey Kenney faces Nathaniel Wood.

Karyn Bryant first reported the bout. Kenney (15-2-1) enters the contest riding a two-fight winning streak, picking up wins over the duo of Heili Alateng and Louis Smolka. Kenney competed twice on Dana White’s Contender Series, defeating CJ Hamilton and suffering a defeat to Adam Antolin. Kenney has competed 17 times as a professional MMA fighter and 11 of those bouts went the distance.

Wood (17-4-0) has won four of five in the UFC, picking up wins over Johnny Eduardo, Andre Ewell, Jose Alberto Quinonez and John Castaneda. Wood is also a former Cage Warriors bantamweight champion, but he relinquished the belt upon signing with the UFC. Wood has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter, with two coming by KO/TKO and two coming by submission.

UFC 254 takes place on Saturday, October 24 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
