A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo according to Combate as Charles Oliveira is in action against Christos Giagos.
Oliveira (23-8-0-1NC) has won just three of his last seven under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Myles Jury, Will Brooks and Clay Guida. Oliveira has competed as a featherweight and a lightweight in the UFC, with an overall record of 11-8-0-1NC in the promotion. Oliveira has picked up twenty three wins as a professional MMA fighter, with fifteen of them coming by way of submission.
Giagos (15-6-0) is competing in the UFC for the first time in over three years, earning a record of 1-2-0 in his first run with the organization. Giagos has won four of six in between UFC runs, with two wins coming in Absolute Championship Berkut and two coming in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance. Giagos has seen his last four fights go the distance and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish.
