Song Yadong has suffered an injury and has been pulled from UFC 235 according to Farah Hannoun, replacing him against Alejandro Perez is going to be Cody Stamann.
Perez (21-6-1) will enter the contest on a four fight winning streak, having beaten the four pack of Andre Soukhamthath, Iuri Alcantara, Matthew Lopez and Eddie Wineland. Perez hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years, with that last loss coming against Patrick Williams at UFC 188. Perez has suffered six losses as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of submission.
Stamann (17-2-0) has won three of four bouts under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Terrion Ware, Tom Duquesnoy and Bryan Caraway. Stamann is a former Triple X Cagefighting and a Michiana Fight League Bantamweight Champion, relinquishing both titles before signing with the UFC. Stamann has competed nineteen times as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those bouts went the distance.
