The stakes just got higher for Irene Aldana.
Aldana and former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm are set to headline UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana on October 3. Holm will play the role of spoiler, according to UFC President Dana White.
Multiple media members reported that White said a victory for Aldana on October 3 will earn her a shot at the UFC women’s bantamweight title:
Dana White mentioned to media that should Irene Aldana defeat Holly Holm that it would make sense for her to be the next opponent for Amanda Nunes at bantamweight.
