A lightweight division attraction has been added to the upcoming Bellator 212 card according to MMA Fighting as Derek Campos is going to be in action against Sam Sicilia.
Campos (19-7-0) has won four of his last five under the Bellator MMA banner, having defeated the conglomerate of Melvin Guillard, Djamil Chan, Derek Anderson and Brandon Girtz. Campos has suffered a total of four losses in Bellator MMA and two of them have come to Patricky Pitbull. Campos also had a three fight series with Brandon Girtz in Bellator MMA, with Campos winning two of the three encounters.
Sicilia (16-9-0) has won just one of two fights in Bellator MMA, with that lone win coming over Marcos Galvao at Bellator 189. Sicilia also spent nearly five years competing in the UFC, having won five of twelve in that organization. Sicilia also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15, making it to the quarterfinals before losing to Chris Saunders by split decision.
Bellator 212 is scheduled for Friday, December 14 from the Neil S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii with Brent Primus and Michael Chandler headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
