UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov would defeat former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor by fourth round submission in the main event of UFC 229. A victorious Nurmagomedov would then hop the Octagon wall to go after Dillon Danis and the rest of McGregor’s corner, inciting a huge post-fight brawl.
The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) has already handed down penalties to four of the fighters involved in the brawl, as Nurmagomedov received a $500,000 fine and a nine month suspension, while McGregor received a $50,000 fine and a six month suspension, plus Zubaira Tukhugov and Abubakar Nurmagomedov each received a $25,000 fine and a one year suspension.
Danis has yet to have his time in front of the NSAC and that all changes next week according to MMA Junkie because the fighter is scheduled for a hearing this Monday (2/25).
There is no word yet on what kind of potential punishment the fighter could face, but Danis did recently comment on the situation via Twitter:
another bellator i was booked on that i couldn’t fight on because of my on going suspension i will be back in there soon thanks for everyone’s patience

Three promotions were affected by the punishments handed out by the NSAC for the post-fight brawl, as the UFC (McGregor, Tukhugov & K. Nurmagomedov), PFL (A. Nurmagomedov) and Bellator MMA (Danis) all had fighters involved in the post-fight ruckus.
