Gabriel Benitez has tested positive for COVID-19 and has been removed from the UFC Vegas 14 card, where he was scheduled for a bout against Justin Jaynes.
Solo MMA first reported the news.
The report also states that instead of finding a late replacement opponent for Jaynes to fight, the bout will get rescheduled at a future date, although that date hasn’t been revealed at this time. The card will now move on with ten scheduled bouts, although more fights can be added between now and November 14.
UFC Vegas 14 takes place on Saturday, November 14 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have not been revealed for the show at this time.
