A featherweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night Liverpool card according to Viaplay Fighting as Jason Knight is in action against Makwan Amirkhani.
Knight (20-4-0) enters the contest on a two fight losing streak, dropping fights to the duo of Ricardo Lamas and Gabriel Benitez. Knight hasn’t earned a victory now in almost a year, with that last win coming over Chas Skelly at UFC 211. Knight is also a former Atlas Fights Featherweight Champion, defeating Michael Roberts at Atlas Fights 23 to win the gold.
Amirkhani (13-3-0) is looking to rebound from his first loss under the UFC banner, which came to Arnold Allen at UFC Fight Night 107. Amirkhani also returns to action for the first time in over a year, as the UFC Fight Night 107 bout came in March of 2017. Amirkhani has earned a total of three wins in the UFC, with one coming by knockout, one by submission and one by decision.
UFC Fight Night Liverpool takes place on Sunday, May 25 from the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England with Darren Till and an opponent to be announced headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
