Miguel Baeza needed a new opponent for UFC Vegas 11 after the withdrawal of Mickey Gall and now he has one, as Jeremiah Wells has accepted the short notice opportunity.
AG Fight first reported the news.
Baeza (9-0-0) has already picked up two wins under the UFC banner with those wins coming over Hector Aldana and Matt Brown. Baeza also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 2, defeating Victor Reyna by unanimous decision. Baeza has competed nine times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.
Wells (8-2-1) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Wells is a former CES MMA welterweight champion, defeating Jason Norwood at CES MMA 52 to win the gold. Wells has competed 11 times as a professional MMA fighter and five of those bouts went the distance.
UFC Vegas 11 is set for Saturday, September 19 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
