There is going to be one less fighter in the UFC Bantamweight Division going forward as Jin Soo Son has reportedly been let go by the promotion.

John Hyon Ko of Kumite TV, citing Son’s Instagram account, reported the news.

Eric Bischoff Comments On Whether His Role At MLW One Shot Is A One Off

Son (9-4-0, 0-2-0 UFC) went winless during a two fight run in the UFC, dropping bouts to the duo of Petr Yan and Mario Bautista. Son fought just twice under the UFC banner before getting released and both of those encounters went the distance. Son hasn’t picked up a victory in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Toshiaki Kitada by second round TKO at Deep 83 in April of 2018. Son has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of those defeats have come by way of decision. Son has spent the majority of his career competing in Deep, fighting a total of nine times in the promotion.

It is unknown at this time as to where the fighter will sign with next, as the free agent is able to sign with whatever promotion makes him a suitable offer.
