A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Lincoln according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as Joanne Calderwood faces Kalindra Faria.
Calderwood (11-3-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, having dropped bouts to the duo of Jessica Andrade and Cynthia Calvillo. Calderwood is also undefeated thus far as a flyweight in the UFC, defeating Valerie Letourneau by third round TKO at UFC Fight Night 89. Calderwood also returns to action for the first time in over a year, as her last bout took place in July of 2017.
Faria (18-7-1) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped fights to the duo of Mara Romero Borella and Jessica Eye. Faria is a former Titan Fighting Championships Women’s Flyweight Champion, defeating Carina Damm to win the gold in September of 2016. Faria has previously challenged for the World Series Of Fighting Women’s Strawweight Title, losing to then champion Jessica Aguilar at the WSOF 15.
