It would appear that two of Bellator MMA’s featherweight and bantamweight fighters are staying with the promotion as Leandro Higo and John Teixeira have reportedly re-signed with the promotion.
MMA Fighting reported the news, but the lengths of their contracts and any financial numbers associated with said deals weren’t revealed at this time.
Higo (19-5-0, 2-3-0 Bellator MMA) has picked up two victories in the promotion, with those wins coming over the duo of Joe Taimanglo and Shawn Bunch. Higo is also a former LFA Bantamweight Champion and has previously challenged for the Bellator Bantamweight Championship.
Teixeira (23-4-2, 6-3-0 Bellator MMA) is currently riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Ashleigh Grimshaw and Kevin Croom. Teixeira has previously headlined a Bellator MMA card, which was a first round knockout loss to AJ McKee at Bellator 205.
Neither fighter is booked for a bout at the moment and it is unknown at this time as to when either will return to action in the Bellator cage.
