A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on August 15 as Livinha Souza faces Ashley Yoder.
Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Souza (13-2-0) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Sarah Frota and Alex Chambers. Souza will compete for the first time in over a year, as her last bout took place at UFC Fight Night Sacramento in July of 2019. Souza is a former Invicta FC Strawweight Champion, defeating Katja Kankaanpaa at Invicta FC 12 to win the gold.
Yoder (7-5-0) has won two of six during her UFC tenure, with those victories coming against the duo of Syuri Kondo and Amanda Bobby Cooper. Yoder hasn’t picked up a victory in over a year, with her last win coming at UFC Fight Night Denver in June of 2019. Yoder has competed a total of twelve times as a professional MMA fighter and eight of those encounters went the distance.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, August 15 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
