A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Nashville according to MMA Junkie as Luis Pena is going to be in action against Steven Peterson.
Pena (5-1-0) is going to be making his UFC Featherweight Division debut in this bout, having previously competed at lightweight. Pena has won just one of two bouts under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Richie Smullen at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale. Pena was also a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27, but was eliminated from the reality show due to injury.
Peterson (17-7-0) has also won just one of two fights in the UFC, with his victory coming against Matt Bessette at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale. Peterson also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 7, suffering a split decision loss to Benito Lopez. Peterson has suffered seven losses as a professional MMA fighter and six of them have come by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Nashville takes place on Saturday, March 23 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee with Stephen Thompson and Anthony Pettis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
