A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Greenville according to the Greenville Online as Matt Wiman is in action against Luis Pena.
Wiman (16-7-0) is competing for the first time in over four years, with his last bout being a unanimous decision win over Isaac Vallie-Flagg at UFC Fight Night 57. Wiman hasn’t suffered a defeat in over six years, with that last loss coming against TJ Grant at UFC On Fox 6. Pena has suffered seven losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of submission.
Pena (6-1-0) has won two of three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Richie Smullen and Steven Peterson. Pena also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27, making it to the semi-finals before being ousted from the show due to injury. Pena has picked up six wins as a professional MMA fighter and four of them came by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night Greenville takes place on Saturday, June 22 from the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina with Renato Moicano and Chan Sung Jung headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
