Report: Nadia Kassem Out, Viviane Pereira In At UFC Fight Night Singapore

Nadia Kassem has suffered an injury and has been pulled from the forthcoming UFC Fight Night Singapore card, replacing her against Yan Xiaonan according to Raphael Marinho of Combate is going to be Viviane Pereira.

Xiaonan (8-1-0-1NC) is currently undefeated in the UFC, having defeated Kailin Curran by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Shanghai. Xiaonan also competed in the Road FC promotion, holding victories over Ye Hyun Nam and Seo Hee Lim. Xiaonan hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost eight years, with that last loss coming to Karina Hallinan at Martial Combat 10.

Pereira (13-1-0) has won two of three bouts under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Valerie Letourneau and Jamie Moyle. Pereira has seen her last four MMA bouts go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish. Pereira is also looking to rebound from the first loss of her professional MMA career, which came to Tatiana Suarez at UFC Fight Night Norfolk.

UFC Fight Night Singapore takes place on Saturday, June 23 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore with Donald Cerrone and Leon Edwards headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
