A lightweight division attraction is going to be headlining Bellator 215 according to MMA Junkie as Patricky Pitbull faces Ryan Scope.
Pitbull (20-8-0) enters the contest on the strength of a four fight winning streak, having defeated Josh Thomson, Ben Henderson, Derek Campos and Roger Huerta. Pitbull has previously challenged for the Bellator Lightweight Title, losing to then champion Michael Chandler at Bellator 157. Pitbull hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over two years, with that last loss coming in June of 2016 to the aforementioned Chandler.
Scope (10-1-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and will also be competing for the first time in over a year. Scope is a former BAMMA Lightweight Champion, defeating UFC veteran Mickael Lebout to win the gold in December of 2017. Scope has competed a total of eleven times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of his bouts have gone the distance.
Bellator 215 takes place on Saturday, February 9 from the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England with Patricky Pitbull and Ryan Scope headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which will air on the Paramount Network.
