A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC 232 according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #14 Douglas Silva De Andrade faces Petr Yan.
De Andrade (25-2-0-1NC) has won three of five fights under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the trio of Cody Gibson, Enrique Briones and Marlon Vera. De Andrade didn’t suffered a defeat in his professional MMA career until the UFC debut against Zubaira Tukhugov at UFC Fight Night 36. De Andrade is also a former Super Pitbull Fight Bantamweight Champion, defeating Maykson Souza Lima by unanimous decision to claim the gold in May of 2009.
Yan (10-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Teruto Ishihara and Jin Soo Son. Yan is also a former Absolute Championship Berkut Bantamweight Champion, defeating Magomed Magomedov at ACB 57 to claim the gold. Yan also enters the contest while in the midst of a four fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years.
UFC 232 takes place on Saturday, December 29 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
