A middleweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Columbus as Puna Soriano faces Eric Spicely.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its position on the card isn’t known at this time.
Soriano (7-0-0) has already picked up a win under the UFC banner, having defeated Oskar Piechota by first round knockout at UFC 245. Soriano also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 1, defeating Jamie Pickett by unanimous decision. Soriano has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went past the opening round.
Spicely (12-5-0) is winless thus far in his second run with the UFC, dropping a bout to Deron Winn at UFC Fight Night Greenville. Spicely has had two runs thus far in the UFC, earning a 2-5-0 record in those two promotional runs. Spicely has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of submission.
UFC Fight Night Columbus takes place on Saturday, March 28 from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio with Francis Ngannou and Jairzinho Rozenstruik headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
