An immediate Fight of the Night contender between Robbie Lawler and Mike Perry is reportedly targeted for UFC 255.
A match-up between Lawler (no. 15) and Perry is in the works for the November pay-per-view card, according to ESPN's Ariel Helwani. "Ruthless" Robbie (28-15, 1 NC) is on a four-fight skid, most recently losing a unanimous decision to Neil Magny. "Platinum" Perry is 2-2 since April 2019, most recently beating Mickey Gall by unanimous decision.
Perry was captured getting into a physical confrontation and yelling racial slurs at a Texas restaurant in July. Although he was not arrested or charged with a crime, UFC said Perry apologized and was "committed to immediately seek professional treatment, including substance and behavioral counseling."
UFC 255 takes place on Saturday, November 21. The card boasts two UFC flyweight title fights: Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Cody Garbrandt, and Valentina Shevchenko vs. Jennifer Maia. The card is rumored to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Keep up with Fightful for all your fight night coverage.
