Report: Ross Pearson Faces Joe Duffy At UFC Fight Night Adelaide

A lightweight division bout has been added to UFC Fight Night Adelaide according to MMA NYTT as Ross Pearson is going to be in action against Joe Duffy.

Pearson (20-15-0-1NC) has won just one of his last six under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Mizuto Hirota at UFC 221. Pearson was the lightweight winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 9, defeating Andre Winner by unanimous decision in the reality show finals. Pearson hasn’t picked up a win on a “Fight Night” card in almost three years, with his last such win coming at UFC Fight Night 85 in March of 2016.

Duffy (16-3-0) is returning to action for the first time in over a year, with his last bout taking place at UFC 217 in November of 2017. Duffy has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, with two of those losses coming to a pair of UFC veterans in James Vick and Dustin Poirier. Duffy has previously challenged for the Cage Warriors Lightweight Title, losing to then champion Ivan Musardo by fourth round submission at Cage Warriors 44.

UFC Fight Night Adelaide takes place on Saturday, December 1 from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, Australia with Junior Dos Santos and Tai Tuivasa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
