Report: Scott Holtzman Faces Nik Lentz At UFC Fight Night Phoenix

A lightweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night Phoenix according to Brett Okamoto of ESPN as Scott Holtzman faces Nik Lentz.

Holtzman (12-2-0) enters the encounter on the strength of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Michael McBride, Darrell Horcher and Alan Patrick. Holtzman has suffered just two defeats as a professional MMA fighter and both of them came in UFC competition. Holtzman is a former Xtreme Fighting Championships Lightweight Champion, defeating Roger Carroll by unanimous decision at XFC 26 to claim the gold.

Lentz (29-9-2-1NC) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC appearances, with the latest bout being a victory over Gray Maynard at UFC 229. Lentz has seen fifteen of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and the fighter has picked up wins in ten of those encounters. Lentz has competed at both lightweight and featherweight during his UFC run, having picked up a total of thirteen wins overall in the promotion.

UFC Fight Night Phoenix takes place on Sunday, February 17 from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
