Bae Malecki will no longer be competing at UFC Fight Island 5, replacing her against Tracy Cortez is Stephanie Egger.

Cortez (7-1-0) is undefeated thus far under the UFC banner having defeated Vanessa Melo by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Cortez competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3 defeating Mariya Agapova by unanimous decision. Cortez has competed eight times as a professional MMA fighter and five of those bouts went the distance.
Egger (5-1-0) is making her UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. Egger has previously fought one UFC fighter, a first-round TKO win over Mara Romero Borella at Arena Fighting Games in October 2015. Egger is competing for the second time in 2020, which makes it her most active year as a professional MMA fighter since 2015.
UFC Fight Island 5 takes place on Saturday, October 10 from Fight Island in Yas Island, Abu Dhabi with Marlon Moraes and Cory Sandhagen headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, whicj streams live on ESPN+.
