A lightweight division attraction has been added to Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 27 as Taylor Callens faces Uros Medic.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Callens (6-0-0) is going to be competing for the first time in over two years and with an undefeated streak that has lasted over a decade. Callens has competed twice under the Valor Fights banner, picking up wins over Drew Kennedy and Dawond Pickney. Callens has competed six times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went the distance.
Medic (4-0-0) is returning to action for the first time in over a year and all of his professional MMA fights took place on the Alaska Fighting Championship promotion. Medic has picked up four wins as a professional MMA fighter, with two coming by KO/TKO and two coming by submission. Medic has competed a total of four times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went past the opening round.
Dana White’s Contender Series Episode 27 takes place on Tuesday, August 4 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
