A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC 234 according to Farah Hannoun as Teruto Ishihara is in action against Kyung Ho Kang.
Ishihara (10-6-2) has won just one his last five fights under the UFC banner, with that lone victory coming over Rolando Dy at UFC Fight Night Japan. Ishihara went winless in 2018, making it the first time that the fighter went winless in a year since turning pro in 2011. Ishihara has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Kang (14-8-0-1NC) has won three of his last four in UFC competition, with those wins coming over the trio of Shunichi Shimizu, Michinori Tanaka and Guido Cannetti. Kang has only competed two times in the last four-plus years and the competitor split those two encounters. Kang has seen seven of his professional MMA fights go the distance and the fighter has lost five of those bouts.
UFC 234 takes place on Saturday, February 9 from the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia with Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
